The name says it all. The LOVE RIDE is about bikers from all walks of life gathering together to benefit charities and to have a great time doing it! The Love Ride event began in as a Biker Carnival in 1981. It officially became known as "The Love Ride" in 1984, and it has grown ever since. In 2005 over 25,000 motorcyclists participated in the Love Ride helping raise over $18.75 million for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and "Reading by 9" literacy project.
The Love Ride has also come to be known as a place to see and party with celebrities. Dennis Hopper, Pamela Anderson, Nancy Sinatra, John Hurt, Pat Boone, Mary Hart, Larry Hagman, Robert Patrick, Malcolm Forbes, Dan Haggerty, Billy Ray Cyrus, Peter Fonda, Willie G, Lorenzo Lamas, Jay Leno, and Billy Idol name only a few of the many stars that participate in the Love Ride. It is great to see celebrity Harley Riders get into the spirit of things with a very diverse group of bikers ranging from Outlaws to Executive Bikers. The official day for the Love Ride the second Sunday of November, and it has become the largest annual one-day motorcycle event in the world.
Ride Free Motorcycle Tours always loves participating in the fun of the Love Ride, but for Ride Free it isn't just a one-day event. They begin riding to the event, and after a good sleep, continue to mysterious Death Valley and then on to famous Las Vegas. Ride up Old Route 66 into Arizona to Grand Canyon, where riders sleep in quaint cabins right on the edge of the canyon. The ride home is through Laughlin, Nevada, and into the California desert to Palm Springs before returning to Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Meet the Bikes and Welcome Dinner Pick up the motorcycles at 4:00pm, go over the bikes and ask questions before a Welcome Dinner together at a beachside restaurant in Los Angeles.
Day 2: The LOVE RIDE Event At 7:00am, ride to Glendale Harley-Davidson to meet up with over 20,000 motorcycles then ride with them to Castaic Lake for Bike Show, concerts, celebrities, BBQ, and fun. 70 miles total.
Day 3: Castaic Lake to Death Valley Through Angeles National Forest and Mojave Desert. 220 miles
Day 4: Death Valley to Las Vegas Through devil's playground, Stove Pipe Wells, and Cheyenne. 190 miles.
Day 5: Las Vegas to Grand Canyon Through Oatman gold mining town, Kingman, and Seligman. Sleep in cabins right on the edge of Grand Canyon. 310 miles.
Day 6: Grand Canyon to Laughlin Along Famous Old Route 66. 270 miles.
Day 7: Laughlin to Palm Springs Along Old Route 66 and through Joshua Tree National Park. 260 miles.
Day 8: Palm Springs to Los Angeles Along famous Ortega Highway. 130 miles. End of tour after a Celebration Lunch together.
Notes
This is an all-inclusive ride with two tour operators - one on a bike and one in a chase vehicle. This is a charity ride, so portions of tour payment may be tax deductible.
Reservation Policy
A reservation form along with a deposit of $500 per person must be made to reserve a spot on a tour. Final payment is taken 45 days prior to the first scheduled day of the ride.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made prior to 30 days before the first scheduled day of a tour will be refunded the full amount of prior payment(s) less a $200 processing/cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given to cancellations requested less than 30 days prior to a reserved tour. However, the total amount of any unused tour payment may be credited toward any other Ride Free tour within 18 months of the cancellation date.
